Acquisition of Bluestreak moves Aegis Media into ad-serving




Bluestreak

Back in 1999, Aegis Media collaborated with Bluestreak, an ad-serving company, on the firt ever rich media advertisement in the US, for Pfizer’s Zithromax. Eight years later, the acquisition of Bluestreak sees Aegis Media itself enter the ad-serving market.

Bluestreak specialises in rich media formats, but the $12.5m investment will enable us to manage, optimise and measure all forms of online advertising. Ad-serving is in the spotlight right now, following a number of major acquisitions, including DoubleClick and aQuantive/Atlas. The data from Bluestreak’s ad-serving platform will have a variety of strategic uses in the development of Aegis Media’s future product offering.
