Synovate’s Brand Value Creator proven to be the world’s most accurate sales prediction tool
Synovate’s newly created Brand & Communications practice launched Brand Value Creator – BVC – in November 2006. Developed by a team led by Jan Hofmeyr, one of the world’s foremost market researchers, we believe BVC to be the most accurate sales prediction tool in the market today. BVC fuses data on attitudinal equity – how much a consumer wants to buy a particular brand – with barrier effects, such as accessibility or contracts – which prevent them from doing so. This allows BVC to estimate market share.
BVC was rigorously trialled in the US, UK, China, Thailand, India and South Africa across healthcare plans, cooking oil, financial services, soaps and gels, cars, motor oils sparkling drinks and medicines.
The estimated market shares produced by BVC have an exceptionally high correlation to actual market share, with an R of 0.978 and an adjusted R2 of 0.956.
BVC has met with considerable success across countries and product categories since its launch, and we are now in the process of customising the model for new specialist segments.
