Aegis Wins Renault Account

Aegis Group Plc announced today that Carat, its media planning and buying division, has won the European media account of Renault, expected to be worth some $700m annually.
From 1 January 2001 Carat will provide media advisory services and handle media buying for all of Renault's European subsidiaries with a view to ensuring overall consistency and uniformity in 16 countries.Commenting on the new business win Aegis'
Chief Executive Doug Flynn, said:
"This is the Group's largest new business win and comes on top of the $1bn of new business that was won in the first half of the current year. Renault’s decision to award this account to Aegis reflects the strength of the Group's international network and the quality of both our media planning and buying."
