Aegis Acquires Lord Media

Carat announced that they have acquired the controlling interest in Lord Media S.A., the pre-eminent outdoor specialist in Poland.
The chairman of Lord Media, Raymond Lord, commented:
"this deal will not only strengthen our servicing resource locally through working with one of the most dynamic global media agency networks but will also provide a strategic platform to launch our services East."
The company will be re-branded as Scope and will report directly to the Central European Headquarters based in Wiesbaden, Germany.
Carat's Central Europe CEO, Alexander Ruzicka, states:
" This move marks a next step to increase our competence in the polish market as well as in the whole of central Europe."
Doug Flynn, CEO of Aegis Group plc commented:
"Aegis is a major investor in outdoor specialist media companies. This investment in Lord Media fits with our recent establishment of Posterscope Worldwide based in London. Aegis has also recently acquired Outdoor Vision in the USA and this month established Posterscope Italia."
