Appointment of New Board Director (Charles Strauss)

Aegis Group plc announced today that Charles Strauss has been appointed as a new non-executive director with immediate effect.
Mr Strauss (60) is currently Chairman of the North America Committee and President/CEO of Unilever United States and has held a number of senior executive positions within Unilever since 1989. Charles was elected to the Unilever Group board of directors in 2000. He also holds a non-executive appointment with The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. as well as a number of US industry association appointments.
Commenting on the appointment, Lord Sharman the Chairman of Aegis, said:
“I am delighted that Charles has decided to join the Board. He brings considerable international experience to Aegis and we look forward to his contribution.”
