Aegis Acquires US Media Agency (IMS)

Aegis Group plc (Aegis) announces today the purchase of the media buying assets of Independent Media Services Inc. (IMS) for the consideration of US$7.35m payable in cash on completion. IMS is a media buying agency which specialises in representing clients in the entertainment sector, specifically in motion pictures, television, cable television, newspapers and the arts. The acquisition will enhance the position of Carat, Aegis’ media buying division, in the highly competitive North American market.
Aegis and IMS have agreed to withdraw all outstanding litigation between them and to entirely vacate the judgment previously awarded to IMS.
