Appointment of Aegis Media France CEO

Aegis Media EMEA today announces with immediate effect the promotion of Marie-Laure SAUTY DE CHALON to the position of CEO Aegis Media France. Laurent GEORGE leaves the company by mutual agreement to dedicate himself to personal projects.

In this position, Marie-Laure retains her role as President of Carat and takes on the additional responsibility of Vizeum, ISOBAR, Connect Factory and Vocation Publics. Marie-Laure will report to the CEO of Aegis Media EMEA. Laurent GEORGE, the previous CEO Aegis Media France, will remain as a senior advisor to the group until the end of June 2006.

Marie-Laure SAUTY DE CHALON is 43 years old. She graduated from l’Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris and holds a master degree in law. She started her career in 1985 working for various French newspapers within the advertising section, and then became the CEO of General Media, the advertising sales house of the Nouvel Observateur Group. She entered France Télévision Publicité in 1993 where she became a co Chief Executive. She entered Carat in 1997 where she was appointed CEO of Carat Prospective, and then became a co Chief Executive and a member of the Board. She was appointed CEO of Consodata North America in New York in 2001 and, back in France in 2003, became CEO of La Grande Régie (an advertising sales house in charge of French newspapers including Le Monde et le Nouvel Obs). In December 2004, she has been appointed CEO of Carat.
