Mediapool Acquisition Launches Vizeum in Estonia

Aegis Group plc, the media communications and marketing services group, announces that it is to acquire Mediapool in Estonia. Closing of the acquisition is subject to obtaining regulatory approval which is expected prior to the end of August.
Mediapool is Estonia's second largest media agency. It has grown rapidly since it was founded in 1997. Its clients today include both domestic and international brands, such as SEB Bank and Nissan. Gross Assets to be acquired were Euro 0.9m as at 30 June 2006.
Aegis Media is already present in Estonia with Carat, established in 1995. Through Mediapool, Aegis Media will introduce Vizeum, Carat's sister agency, into the Baltic region. Vizeum's unique approach to communications planning uses proprietary research techniques to understand consumer motivation and to map media, in order to create consumer 'connections'.
