Aegis Appoints New Head of Strategy and Corporate Development

Aegis Group plc, the media communications and market research group, announces the appointment of Chantal Restivo-Alessi as head of strategy and corporate development.
Restivo-Alessi joins Aegis with 20 years’ experience in international organisations, including EMI and Booz Allen & Hamilton. In the past decade she has held a variety of senior roles at EMI Music, where she was a member of the executive board. These include head of corporate strategy, responsible for evaluating new investments and market entry opportunities, and chief operating officer for EMI Music outside the US and Europe.
Restivo-Alessi joined EMI in 1996 from Booz Allen & Hamilton’s media and marketing group. Prior to that she worked as international economic director for Confindustria and as foreign trade director for Assolombarda in Italy. She started her career at Grand Metropolitan Group in 1988.
As head of strategy and corporate development at Aegis, Restivo-Alessi will work closely with the group’s executive and operational management on identifying and executing strategic development opportunities across Aegis, including organic investments and acquisitions. She replaces Rob Myers, who has taken up an operational role at Synovate.
