Aegis Continues South Africa Investment with Acquisition of Full Circle Media

Aegis Group plc (“Aegis”) today announces the acquisition of Full Circle Media in South Africa. At 31 October 2007, Full Circle had gross assets of £ 0.4m.
Full Circle Media is an independent media agency, based in Cape Town. It was established in 2000, and has grown well since then, with a portfolio of domestic and international client brands that today includes Really Great Brand Company, Goodyear, Media24, Safmarine and PG Glass.
The acquisition of Full Circle Media follows the acquisition of Trigger, a digital marketing specialist, in May of this year, and the launch of Vizeum South Africa in September. Following this acquisition, Aegis Media’s brand presence in South Africa will include MEC Carat, Vizeum and Full Circle Media in media; Trigger in digital; and Rapid in out-of-home.
Commenting on the acquisition, Robert Lerwill, CEO of Aegis, said: “Full Circle Media is a well-run agency, and will fit well with Aegis Media’s existing business in South Africa. We see an attractive opportunity to build a leading position in a dynamic economy, undergoing rapid change – and we are acting on it, with three major investments here this year.”
