Chelsia joined Synovate (then Asia Market Intelligence)in early 2000, having worked in the UK market research industry since 1986. As Data Processing Director for Asia Pacific, Chelsia's role is to ensure the delivery of high quality data within deadline across the region.
My nickname pretty much sums up my remit -'the Queen of DP in Synovate AP'! Any data processing issue across or withinthe Asia Pacific Strategic Unit is my business.
"What does this mean day-to-day? Anything from providing costing and advising on project design, to attending client meetings with the project lead. I also work with third-party suppliers to ensure that our programmers have stable platforms on which to perform their daily tasks. Lately, I've been working very closely with an outsourcing agency to provide alternative solutions to resource issues. Another key part of my role is to provide automated solutions to traditional data processing, driving up efficiency wherever and whenever possible.
"My latest adventure isto build a DP Centre in Malaysia to provide in-house offshore opportunity to all Strategic Units and practices - a challenge, yes,but an exciting one!"
