Lara joined Synovate Healthcare as part of the 2006 graduate scheme.After taking part in the 6 week training scheme, she joined the Antiviral Team and has since been working on the US HIV monitor.
Since joining Synovate Healthcare, my responsibilities have changed a lot, as I have been learning on the job. Initially I was mainly involved in the processing of data and learning about the therapy area, which has been of huge benefit. However now I am assisting with writing and giving presentations, helping with client queries and monitoring the data collection and processing.
"It is really interesting to work specifically on one therapy area and to become an expert in that field, especially in an area as important and topical as HIV. With the study running quarterly, there is rarely a quiet time, which has given me the opportunity to learn and improve at a fast rate. I have also been very lucky to have been trained and helped by a supportive team.
"An added perk of the job has been the opportunity to travel each quarter, when I travel to America to present to clients. Not only do I really enjoy meeting and presenting to clients, but I am also able to go and work directly with my colleagues in America.
