Mary DeBisschop

Mary joined Synovate in April 1996. The company at that time existed as the Synovate predecessor, Market Facts. As Vice President in the Financial Services Practice (FSP), her job is to manage existing accounts as well as to generate new business opportunities in the investment, banking, insurance, and payments sectors in the US.
In addition to her role as marketing researcher and a leader within FSP, Mary also has responsibility for managing the Boston, Massachusetts office at Synovate.
“I’m fairly certain that in my 11 years with the company, no two days have looked remotely alike. In many ways, I have grown up at Synovate. My daily responsibilities have obviously evolved over time, but my job has always been to be a thorough research methodologist and respond to our clients’ needs as effectively as possible.
"These days, a large percentage of my time is spent on the phone with clients and prospects (just ask my staff!), talking to them about upcoming projects as well as about existing work. Everything that we do at Synovate always seems to come down to making connections with people, whether it’s with our partners in operations or with our clients. This is such a relationship-driven business … spending time talking to people is invaluable.
"If I’m not travelling to present to a client face-to-face, then I’m doing what I enjoy the most, which is rolling up my sleeves and working with my team. FSP is such a terrific, fun group to be a part of, and I really can’t say enough about my staff. Everyone is so smart, they all work so hard, and their attitudes are incredibly positive on even the most challenging days. I have been extremely lucky to have some tremendous mentors at Synovate. I can only hope that I’m playing a positive role in the careers of those that I get to work with every day.”
